For Your Information: Traffic Light Construction
BLUF: Starting 30 Oct, intersection of New Mexico Ave. and David L. Goldfein St, and subsequently the intersection of Arizona Ave. and David L. Goldfein St. will undergo traffic light repairs until 12 Nov., causing periodic lane and intersection closures.
Work will be conducted on the intersection of New Mexico Ave and David L. Goldfein St. beginning on 30 Oct, followed by the intersection of Arizona Ave. and David L. Goldfein St, with a targeted completion date of 12 Nov. There will be periodic lane closures during this stretch, including times where the intersection itself will be completely closed. Detours have been planned to minimize the impact to traffic as outlined in the attached images, and all detours and closures will be marked appropriately with signage. We ask that members utilize the West Gate to a higher degree than normal so as to alleviate some of the traffic in the construction areas.
Due to the high-traffic nature of the designated areas, as outlined below the intersections will be open during peak rush hour traffic.
Monday-Thursday:
- 7:30 AM – 8:40 AM
- 2:30 PM – 4:00 PM
Friday:
- 7:30 AM – 8:40 AM
- 12:40 PM – 2:40 PM
We ask that everybody be patient as the repair work is being done and to prepare for this brief period of road congestion.
