Tower Rock Elementary
FROM THE PRINCIPAL'S DESK
Dear TR Families,
Thank you for your partnership this year. Our students have grown tremendously and I'm proud of the work they've done over the course of this year. I hope the summer allows for you to have some good, quality time with your kids. And if there is one thing to keep up over the summer, it's reading! Please have the kids enjoy some good time with some good books this summer.

FIFTH GRADE PROMOTION
We will host 5th grade graduation on Monday, June 8 at 1:45pm. It will be located in the gym, and all family members are welcome to attend. The entire ceremony typically lasts 25-30 minutes. We look forward to celebrating our fifth graders!
STAFFING UPDATES
Tower Rock has a number of changes upcoming for the 26-27 school year:
Kim Prchal will be retiring at the end of this school year. Maria Morgen will be moving across the country with her family to pursue other opportunities. Drew Kornish will be leaving us to join the Sauk Prairie Admin. team as Activities Director and Beth Hahn will be staying home with her young boys. We wish these staff members the best as they start new chapters, and thank them for their service to the TR community.

4K / 5K PLAYDATE
The 4K/5K playdate is scheduled for Tuesday, August 18 from 4:00-5:15pm. This is a chance for our youngest, newest students to get comfortable on the playground and meet some new classmates. We ask that older siblings stay home, so that our 4 and 5 year olds can have full use of the playground area.
NUMBERS
With the numbers of students we are expecting for 4K and Kindergarten next year, it is unclear if there should be one section or two sections for both of those grade levels. Right now, it looks like 4K may be higher in numbers, in which case we would have two sections of 4K, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, with wrap around care at the opposite time so that the students are here for the full day as planned. If we shifted to one kindergarten section next year, we would still have the students in two groups for literacy and math blocks, but have one big class for science, play, recess, morning meeting and specials classes. Please reach out to Kelly with questions at (608) 643-1997 or via email kelly.petrowski@saukprairieschools.org
FUTURE 4K STUDENTS
The Sauk Prairie School District wants to make sure your child/family is included in mailing lists and communications once your child is old enough to register for 4K or Kindergarten classes. If you have a child who is age 5 or under and have not previously completed a SPSD Future Student Form, please complete one today! Use the link below to access the form or pick up a form at the SPSD District Office (440 13th Street, Prairie du Sac, WI). If you have any questions, please email the District Registrar or call 608-643-5984. Thank you!
COMMUNITY SUMMER PROGRAMMING
Summer is a wonderful time for students to relax and enjoy a well-earned break, but it is also a great time to recharge our minds and bodies! Sauk Prairie Schools Community Education and the Sauk Prairie Recreation Department offer youth enrichment, physical activity and lifelong learning opportunities for all ages in a fun, low-pressure setting. Some of our programs are just good old fun while others offer the opportunity to improve a skill, discover a new hobby or improve wellness.
