Principal Duckworth's Notes
Week of September 7. 2026
Hello Northglade Families,
I hope you and your are enjoying your Labor Day Weekend. School will resume on tomorrow, Tuesday, September 8. Tuesday will be a full day of school beginning at 8:50 am and ending at 3:50 pm.
Attendance is very important and we want our students every minute that school is in session.
Again, this year, we will not dismiss students after 3:00 pm unless they have an appointment. We ask caregivers to allow students to stay at school the entire day. We will being having interventions from 3:00 -3:30 Monday through Thursday.
Currently, our telephones are not working throughout the building, which can also be problematic if you are trying to pick your student up early. If you come to pick your student up before 3:00, please be patient with us because again, the telephones are not working within the building.
Transportation Tag
Last week as I was greeting students into the building, I saw one of our kindergarten students with a "transportation tag" attached to his backpack. I thought it was one of the smartest things I had seen for a kindergartener. I asked the parent if I could share it with the Northglade Family and she said, "Of course! I'll send you the template." She had it attached to her son's backpack. So thank you so much Cassie Ross for this wonderful idea!
Below is the template. If you would like to use it, please make a copy of it, before you start typing.
E2 (4th & 5th Graders) Great Lesson Project
Last week, our wonderful teaching team shared the Montessori First Great Lesson with students across our classrooms, including our E2 program. We're excited to see what our students create as they begin their first project based on this inspiring lesson. Below you'll find all the details you need, along with the rubric we'll use to celebrate their learning and growth. All 4th and 5th grade students will need to complete this project.
