December Weekly Update December 5, 2025
What's Happening This Week:
A note from Mr. Lee
As we move through December and approach the midpoint of the school year, this is a natural time for students to feel the pressure of deadlines, missing assignments, upcoming assessments, and the excitement of the holidays. It can be a lot for middle schoolers to manage at once, and it’s a perfect chance for us – school and home working together – to help them build strong habits and emotional balance.
At Carter, we’ve been talking with students about taking ownership of their learning, setting goals, and finishing the semester with pride. You can support that message at home by checking Parent Portal together, talking through any missing assignments, and helping your child plan out manageable steps to get caught up. These small conversations make a big difference.
December can also bring mixed emotions for students. For some, this season is full of excitement and tradition. For others, the holidays can be a reminder of uncertainty or stress. Please encourage your child to reach out to a trusted adult here at school if they need support.
As always, thank you for your partnership. Let’s continue to finish 2025 strong and head into winter break knowing we’ve done everything we can to support our kids.
If you have any questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Have a great weekend!

From the Carter Kitchen:
Did you know: when cutting up onions if you place a wet paper towel next to your cutting board your eyes will not water. The onion aroma goes toward moisture and the paper towel will draw the release of aroma away from your eyes.
Friendly Reminders
There is no parking or dropping off of students in the AM or PM in the circle drive in front of Carter. This is for bussing only.
