Nurse's Notes
Hello MES Families-
I hope you all have had a wonderful summer. As we prepare for the new school year, I want to ensure that your child’s medication needs are met promptly and safely. If your child will require medication during school hours, please follow the guidelines below for a smooth drop-off process:
Medication Drop-Off Details:
Date and Time: Please bring your child’s medication to the school nurse's office during the Elementary Meet and Greet on Tuesday September 2nd between 4pm and 6pm. If you are unable to come during this time, contact me to arrange an alternative drop-off time. You can also come anytime during the first week of school.
Medication Forms: Ensure that you have completed the necessary medication authorization forms. These forms can be obtained from our school website or directly from the nurse’s office. Also bring the necessary doctor’s order for the medication including any asthma action plans.
Medication Packaging: All medications must be in their original packaging, clearly labeled with your child’s name, the name of the medication, dosage instructions, and the prescribing physician’s information.
Over-the-Counter Medications: If your child requires over-the-counter medications, they must also be accompanied by a completed medication authorization form and a doctor’s order. These medications should be in their original container with the child’s name.
Please reach out with any questions. Looking forward to seeing you all in September!

Thank you so much for your attention to our arrival and dismissal at MES. Please look at the Drop- off and Pickup Entrance and Exit map below. The safety of our students remains our top priority, and we appreciate your help!
ASPEN PARENT PORTAL
The Portal for elementary families will open on Monday, August 26, at which time your child’s new teacher will be noted!
New families should have received their login information via email from our Aspen team. Please check your email for your credentials. All families can contact aspen@mpsd.org if you have any questions accessing the parent portal.
**Extremely Important: Please complete the Student Workflow and Parent Workflow before the start of the school year as this is how we reach you in an emergency.**
