5Essentials Parent Survey
Fremont School District 79 greatly values your feedback as it relates to your student’s educational experience. Once again, the State of Illinois has partnered with 5Essentials to create a forum by which you can provide your input.
If you have not already done so, we would greatly appreciate it if you would take the brief survey by visiting:
http://survey.5-essentials.org/illinois/survey/parent/
Your responses are vital for continuous improvement and long-range planning for your child's school. Parents are welcome to answer the survey for each of their children’s schools.
The deadline to complete the survey is March 28, 2025.

Stevenson HS Opportunity: Marginalia
Attention, 6th-8th grade students! Stevenson High School’s Write Club is organizing a three-week-long, online program called Marginalia! Our program will consist of fun activities and writing sessions led by high school students in small groups, promoting creativity and developing creative writing skills. Marginalia is designed so all participants finish with a completely new piece written. Digital copies of a magazine featuring participants’ work will be sent out after workshops conclude. No prior experience—only an interest in writing—necessary!
Marginalia will run from Monday, March 31st through Sunday, April 20th. All students will participate in two 75-minute live workshops each week, for three weeks. As an online workshop, it will not require meeting face-to-face—we will use a combination of live streaming, Google docs, and other tools to communicate. Here is the link to the Marginalia website if you would like more information: https://shswriteclub.wixsite.com/marginalia!
If interested, students should fill out this Google Form (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/16nUIuE3WlFsNWZ3UdI62lZsKd5FuaZuy-D07EnsB7lc/edit) on time availability no later than Sunday, March 23rd at 11:59 PM. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out by email to shswriteclub@gmail.com!
Early Pick-Up Procedures
If your student needs to be picked up early, please notify our main office at 847-566-9384 or send an email to the receptionist, Karolina O'Malley, at komalley@fsd79.org. A parent/guardian or designated person must present identification to pick a student up early. Please note that the latest pickup time is 2:00 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and 1:30 PM on Wednesday. Parents cannot park in handicapped parking spots near the gym as it interferes with bus pick up.
