A Message From Principal Glenn
Dear BHMS Families
Dear BHMS Families:
City Schools of Decatur is monitoring the weather conditions as we continue to experience high temperatures across the state. The intense weather conditions have placed additional strain on the HVAC units, leading to outages in certain areas of the building and extreme indoor temperatures.
As a precaution, BHMS will transition to virtual learning today, Tuesday, August 18, 2026, while the system is being repaired. Instructional information will be sent separately. Bag lunches will be available for pick up. Buses will run on schedule, and the building will be open for students who need to report to school.
The safety of our students and staff is our top priority. We recognize that this may inconvenience families, and we appreciate your understanding as we strive to make the most informed decision.
Sincerely,
Alexis Glenn
Principal
