Principal's Message
Good evening STEM families!
This will be our last week in February and we are looking forward to a quiet week. There are no events scheduled for this week, and the weather is supposed to be for having school! I can't even remember when we had our last full week. Right now, we did not have any days to make up for our snow days. We are seeing the effects of the short and broken-up weeks on our students - their behavior and their learning. We need to work extra hard in these last few months to make sure they learn everything they need to to be read for next year! That means you might start to see some work coming home - extra practice in math or reading. Any time you can spend working with your children on learning their basic math problems and reading will help them so much! If you want to know what you can do with your students at home, you can always contact the teacher!
With the warm up this week, we are going to get these kids outside for some fresh air. This will most likely result in them getting dirty and wet, even if we keep them on the pavement and rocks. Make sure they have good shoes to play in outside and coats and gloves for when it is still chilly!
Sincerely,
Cara Will, principal
