Wednesday, April 24th | 5:00pm

Prescott is thrilled to announce the return of our Academic and Multicultural Nights- now combined into one big event titled, “Learning Around the World”! This community event will be on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 from 5:00-7:30 PM and we are looking forward to seeing you there!

We would love our families to participate in at least one of the following ways in order to make this event truly about our community coming together to create something special. Also, it is a way to show what is special about your family culture.

If you would like to participate, please consider the following:

  • Bring a dish from your culture to share. This could be a dessert, appetizer, or special dish your family enjoys! (Please split it into two serving dishes for two different meal times)

  • Perform a song, dance, or read a book (we need bilingual readers)!

  • Volunteer to help either before, during or after the event with various tasks such as set up, serving, or clean-up.

We have created the following form. Please return to your child's teacher and we'll reach out for more information.

While we recognize this time of the school year can be wrought with anxiety as students prepare for state testing, we hope families will partner with us.

Testing taking is a traditional party of our lives. Developing great test-taking strategies will be a useful skill. As we continue to prepare our campus, here is an article from Child Mind Institute about standardized testing and test preparation.

If you wish to opt-out of standardized testing, please visit our district website.

SEXUALITY EDUCATION! SEXUALITY EDUCATION!

Sex Education at Prescott!

During the spring semester students at Prescott Elementary School receive Sexuality Education as it is mandated by the State of Oregon. Our School Counselor, Ms. Davis, works closely with classroom teachers to ensure all students are supported throughout every discussion and subject.

Our goal is to educate students about topics such as hygiene, safe/unsafe touch, families and anatomy (to name a few). Students will receive information in a safe and inclusive environment that recognizes all family structures, genders, identities, cultures and orientations.

Please checkout the Sexuality Education Lesson Sequence for a better understanding of the age-appropriate topics your students will be learning about.
