Weekly Update
April 17, 2025

Parents,
As we prepare for the upcoming school year, one of our primary goals is to create balanced classrooms that support the academic, social, and emotional development of all our students. In order to do this effectively, we take many factors into consideration when making class placements, including academic ability, behavior, learning style, and social dynamics.
We understand that many parents may have heard information about specific teachers and may be eager to request a particular one. However, we ask that you refrain from making specific teacher requests. Class placements are carefully planned based on the unique needs of each child and the overall balance of the class, and the information you provide through the input form is invaluable in helping us make the best decisions.
If there are specific things we should know about your child that will help us ensure a good fit, such as learning preferences, social considerations, or behavioral needs, please take a few moments to fill out the class placement input form. Your insights are crucial as we work to create the best possible classroom environment for every student.
Thank you for your cooperation and support as we work together to make the upcoming school year a success for all our students!
JUST A REMINDER - WE DO NOT HAVE SCHOOL TOMORROW.
Have a great weekend.
Katie & Chris

MARK YOUR CALENDARS - APRIL 26TH
On Saturday, April 26th, Oak Brook will hold its annual PJs and Pancakes Breakfast. We will be serving pancakes from 8:30-10:00. We will be accepting cash donations on that day and all money raised will be sent to Parkway's Food Pantry. Please sign up for breakfast using the link below.
After breakfast, our PTO is sponsoring an Oak Brook Campus Cleanup Day. More information about that including how to volunteer to help with clean up will be sent home soon.
