PERFORM, PARTICIPATE, EDUCATE
We are looking for people who want to share about their culture!
This community event is designed to be an educational experience for youth and their families to learn about the traditional, contemporary, and special events in fashion and culture from different communities. Featuring Kassie John as our Master of Ceremonies. Kassie is an independent Indigenous Designer, Diné Illustrator, and owner of Native Generations. We are looking for community members who are interested in educating participants about a specific culture. The goal is to learn about as many cultures as we can and provide this opportunity to everyone. If you are interested in hosting an educational booth, please sign up using this form: Sign Up Form

Mental Health Screener
Nebo District is offering a mental health screener for students on the evening of March 23, 2026, at Spring Canyon Middle School from 4 pm to 8 pm. We will be using Terrace Metrics software to measure mental and emotional strengths, as well as screen for anxiety, depression, trauma, and suicidal ideation of students in grades 6-12. Students in grades 3-5 may participate to be screened for mental and emotional strengths, anxiety, depression, and trauma.
If you would like to participate, please sign up here for an appointment. The assessment tool takes an average of 15 minutes to complete. Afterward, you and your student will meet with a school counselor or social worker to discuss the results of the assessment and receive resources, as needed.
Link to Parent Information Video (5 minutes)
Prior to taking the mental health screener, a consent form needs to be completed by the parent/guardian. The consent form will be available upon arrival at the screener event.
If you have any questions, please contact your school counselor.

JH Boys Tennis
Greetings Parents!
I am Ben Sutton, the new coach of the Salem Jr High Boys Tennis team! If your boy is interested in playing on the team, please fill out the Boys Tennis Interest Survey.
By way of introduction…
- I live in Salem with my wife and 4 children at home
- I am not a full time teacher, I work in Provo
- I enjoy tennis, but have never played competitively
I’ve decided to coach tennis out of an interest in helping boys develop interest in, and improve their skills with, the sport. I’ll provide a structured environment that encourages them to realize that their efforts are what determines their success. Should be a great time!
Some preliminary information that may help…
- Boys of all skill levels are encouraged to participate.
- Matches will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3:30, starting on March 24th.
- Practices will be held Mondays and Wednesdays after school, starting 2-3 weeks before the first match.
- At this level of play, I will not be super strict about attendance, but expect to use the “reasonable parent” standard…If your boy will not be attending practice or matches, I expect communication about it ahead of time.
- I am not expecting to have “try outs” unless interest is excessive.
The Survey will help me get organized and best serve you and your boy. If you’re interested, please fill it out!
Feel free to email or text me with any specific questions.

Whether you’ve lifted for years or have never touched a barbell, this club is designed to teach proper technique, build confidence, and create a positive team environment. Come work hard, improve, and start your day strong!

Community
Brain Fair
We are excited to invite parents and children to our ninth annual Brain Fair on Saturday, April 11th, from 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. in the Liberal Arts (LA) building hallway at Utah Valley University.
This event offers children of all ages the chance to explore the brain, neurons, and the senses through hands-on activity stations created by UVU undergraduate students under psychology faculty mentorship. It’s a wonderful opportunity for families to engage together in science learning and spark curiosity about the human brain.
Please see the attached flyer for additional details.
