In order to help alleviate the bus congestion that is occurring with our General Education Buses, Special Education Buses and parents who have children in our STC Program, effective Monday, August 19th, we will be dismissing our Special Education Buses and STC students from the door that is found at the back of the school off Jennie Street. Special Education Buses and STC Parents may enter Jennie Street going southbound via Louisiana Street by Old Settler's Park. Vehicles will then proceed to the back entrance where our Special Education Staff will be ready to unload and load your student by those back doors. This ONLY applies to families who have students that are served by our STC Program and/or ride a Special Education Bus. All other families will continue with the current arrival and dismissal procedures.

Interested in volunteering in McKinney ISD for the 204-2025 school year? Volunteer applications are being accepted for the upcoming school year. McKinney ISD requires all volunteers complete the required volunteer process each school year. Please note, MISD will not have a grace period this year for volunteers to complete their annual background check. This means you must apply and wait for your approved background check before you can volunteer on campus for the 24-25 school year.

All volunteers with McKinney ISD agree to a background check each school year prior to beginning volunteer duties. McKinney ISD is dedicated to making sure that all students have the opportunity to learn and grow in a safe and secure environment.

The volunteer application process is just one effort used by the school administration to help make our schools safe.

VOLUNTEER APPLICATIONS MAY TAKE UP TO TWO WEEKS TO BE PROCESSED.

To apply, click the link below and select the School or schools of your choice. An email account is required for notification purposes. Once your volunteer application is processed and the criminal background check is complete, you will receive an e-mail notification regarding your application from the MISD Human Resources department.
