Fall picture day is October 6! Photos will be taken by Van Gogh School Photographers. Fliers with picture day information were distributed to students during the week of September 21st and more information will be sent directly from Van Gogh via email.

As the school year ramps up, many young people and families are navigating a spike in stress, anxiety, screen use, and mood challenges that come with the return to routine, academic pressure, and social demands.

Screens, in particular, are a fact of life for our children now--at home, at school, with their friends. The real question is how we help kids build a healthier relationship with technology, one that lasts beyond the argument over bedtime phone rules.

Linked here is an invitation for our parent/caregiver community to join Compass Health Center for an approachable conversation and Q&A on fostering healthy screen habits on October 13th from 6:30-7:30pm. No alarmism, no rigid rulebooks; just practical strategies families can actually use at home. Registration is linked here!

Next week, families will receive an email from Securly Home. This service provides parents/guardians with greater insight into their child’s district-managed device activity as well as monitoring and lock-down abilities for the device when at home. The email will provide information about how to set up your parent account. If you already have an account set up with Securly Home from the previous years, you will use the same log in and password you previously created. No action is required unless you choose to explore or utilize the available Securly Home options. Additional information can be found on our district’s student technology page.

Support the talents and growth of our community’s youth through the Brookfield Women's Club 5th Annual Young Entrepreneur's Market! Students in grades 4-12 are invited to apply for a booth to sell their goods/services or perform their musical talents. The market is free to attend and open to the public.
