Story Time Playgroup
“The Very Hungry Caterpillar” This book follows the ravenous caterpillar's path as he eats his way through one apple (and the pages of the book itself) on Monday, two pears on Tuesday, three plums on Wednesday, and so on, through cherry pie and sausage--until he is really fat and has a stomachache. In the end he turns into a beautiful butterfly. The children loved the colorful pages and sharing what their favorite snacks were. After the story the children made colorful caterpillars out of circles and spelled out their names on the circles.
