News for the Livingston Public Schools Community

100 DAYS SMARTER! We’ve officially hit the triple digits! Our elementary students recently celebrated the 100th Day of School. This year's theme was “Red, White, and 100 Days Bright!” as a nod to the America 250 events taking place across the district. From dressing up in 100-themed creations to making 100-themed masterpieces, the schools were buzzing with excitement. We are so proud of how much our students have grown since September. Here’s to 80 more days of learning, laughter, and discovery!

24TH ANNUAL CHINESE CULTURE DAY
The LPS World Language Department joined with local organizations to host the 24th annual Livingston Chinese Culture Day (LCCD). Festivities included a theater performance on January 31 and a large-scale fun fair on February 7. The events saw a significant turnout, with approximately 450 attendees for the auditorium showcase and an estimated 2,500 visitors at the fair.
The celebrations, which were held at Livingston High School, relied heavily on student involvement. Nearly 100 students filled roles as performers, MCs, and event hosts over the two-week span. The World Language Department spearheaded the months-long planning process, supported by school operations staff and district administration. The event continues to serve as a primary platform for cultural exchange within the Livingston community.

LHS MARKETERS DRIVE GROWTH FOR LOCAL EATERY
This past December, students Livingston High School's Social Media Marketing class took their skills out of the classroom and into the community through an exciting partnership with local eatery, Tony Boy's.
Tasked with managing a Holiday Marketing Campaign, the students spent the month developing original content specifically for the Tony Boy's Instagram account. The results were a total success. By the end of December, the campaign had increased the Tony Boy's Instagram following by over 400 new followers!
To celebrate the campaign's success and show appreciation for their hard work, Tony Boy's invited the entire class to the restaurant for a celebratory lunch. It was a fantastic way to wrap up a semester of hands-on learning and see the tangible impact of local business collaboration.

PROCESS FOR ADDRESSING PARENT CONCERNS
Livingston Public Schools strives to respond to concerns and/or questions as quickly and effectively as possible. In a school system, as in any organization, the “chain of command” refers to communication levels of authority in the school district. The philosophy behind the chart in the link below is to refer community members to those people in the organization who can best solve any concerns or questions that may arise, and then direct them to the appropriate people if issues are not able to be effectively addressed at the first level.
COMMUNICATION TOOLS • SUICIDE LIFELINE • MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT

She was invited to tackle one of the most critical challenges in modern education: aligning people, priorities, and technology.
