Message from the Principals
Hello Everyone,
As always the Sunshine Dance was a huge hit. Thank you so much to all those who organized, donated and attended. It was a true South Row community event.
Our Annual Art show was as amazing as ever. Thank you Mrs. C and the MANY parent volunteers who helped prep and hang artwork. The evening was very well attended and we are so proud of our students' creative expression.
We hosted our annual Fitness for Cure on today raising money for St. Jude's. Thank you to the many parent and staff volunteers who helped plan the event and supervise the activities. And thank you so much to those who donated for this worthy cause. If you were still interested in donating, click on the link here.
Please see the link right below this message to see the latest edition of our South Row Times. This is a school newspaper written by members of our Student Council in collaboration with Editor in Chief...our own Beth Mathews.
Engineering Day in grade 3 continues to be a favorite event for our students. The integration of multiple STEM activities and hands-on experiences makes this a truly memorable and educational event. Thank you to all the parents that helped run this program.
Enjoy the long weekend and try to get outside even if it's raining!
Respectfully,
Terri and Jayson

Family Survey - PLEASE COMPLETE!
Dear Chelmsford Families,
Our district values your feedback! We are currently surveying The Chelmsford Public Schools families in order to gain insight into your perception of our school and district's effectiveness. We also want to better understand barriers to families accessing our schools and programs. To ensure we continue to provide high quality, rigorous learning experiences that meet the needs of our learners and prepare them for college and career, we need your feedback. We want to know what you think.
To administer these surveys, we have partnered with Panorama Education to conduct our 2025 Family Survey as we did in 2023 and 2024 as well. Panorama safeguards your privacy, keeping your responses anonymous. The survey shouldn’t take more than a few minutes to complete and will be a valuable source of information for us as we work to make our schools and district as good as they can be.
You may complete the survey online between Thursday May 1st and Friday June 13th using a computer, tablet, or smartphone by visiting the website below: https://surveys.panoramaed.com/chelmsfordma/family25/surveys
If you have multiple CPS school-aged children, please feel free to fill out multiple surveys to represent each individual child’s experience. The first question on the survey will be a dropdown to select which school you are filling the survey out for.
We thank you in advance for your thoughtful responses. If you have any questions about the survey administration, please don’t hesitate to contact your building Principal.
Thank you in advance for your time.

Authors Day
Authors Day (a special event for South Row students) is scheduled rain or shine, Thursday, May 29th from 9:00-10:30am. We need lots of volunteers from our community to make this event possible. Please sign up on the google form to volunteer. We appreciate your consideration! A special thank you to our event coordinators Meghan Wynne, Abbey Ciardi, and Laaia Albanese for organizing this truly special event.
On Author's Day students are offered a popsicle at the end of the event. The popsicles are being provided by Food Services. If you DO NOT want your child to have a popsicle please complete this OPT OUT form.

Reminders and Updates
Recurring Reminders:
- Smartphones and Smart Watches: We strongly discourage sending your child to school with smart phones or watches. If your child brings either of these devices to school the expectation is that they are turned off and in their backpack.
- Snacks: Please remember to send your child in with a snack. The school has a very limited supply that gets depleted quickly and it is not to every students liking.
PE Reminder: Please help your child to remember to bring sneakers when they have Phys Ed. Snow boots are great for recess, but unsafe for the gymnasium. Also on PE days, I would suggest students wear T-shirts or layers so they can take their long sleeve off when they get hot. Thank you!
IIQ Help Desk Tickets: Some families have been using an unmonitored email for support with accessing the Aspen Family Portal. Instead, please use the incident IQ request form located on the CPS website under the parent drop down menu. Here is the direct link: https://chelmsford.incidentiq.com/guest/TKHNDKXH/parent-support#top .
Nurses Corner
Dear South Row,
Parents of 3rd and 4th grade students, please continue to send in updated physicals. I am preparing the 4th grade files for middle school, I want to make sure they have the most updated information possible. There are a lot of end of year activities and events coming our way. If your student has food allergies or sensitivities, please be mindful to read what the school sends out regarding events where food will be available for students.
Have a great long weekend,
Nurse V.
