While many will be headed to the polls on Election Day, our 3rd graders had the chance to vote! Students voted for their favorite cookie. Chocolate Chip was the winner over Oreos with 12 votes!
Student Council Voting
SMA's student council election used an electoral college system! This means that instead of a direct vote where each student's vote counts equally, representatives (the electoral college) cast votes on behalf of the students. This system can sometimes be used to ensure that different groups or classes within the school have balanced representation.
