Message from the Superintendent
Thank you for an amazing school year! I want to share my deep gratitude to everyone in the District 41 community for your warm welcome and continued support throughout the year. With every connection and relationship built, I have learned so much.
Week after week, I have had the pleasure of visiting our schools and I want you to know that I consistently see happy students who are immersed in learning. It’s truly been a blast getting to know so many of our students. Every child has their own way of expressing their curiosity, showing kindness, leaning into learning, and having fun along the way. They fill my heart with joy every time I have the opportunity to engage with them.
I feel incredibly fortunate to have landed in District 41. I feel at home here and it’s because you believe in the WE of WeAreD41. Thank you for leaning in and being an active part of our community. I know we will build on this momentum together going into next year.
Wishing all of our students, families, staff, and community a fun-filled and safe summer!
Best,
Jeff

4th of July Youth Banner Carriers Needed!
The Glen Ellyn 4th of July Committee is looking for enthusiastic young volunteers (ages 8 and up) to help carry banners in this year’s 4th of July Parade down Main Street! Banner carriers should be able to walk the full parade route, approximately 1.5 miles, and will be paired two per banner. Adults are welcome to walk alongside to support and cheer them on. As a thank you, each child who participates will receive a gift card to Andy’s Frozen Custard—a sweet reward for a job well done! Come be part of the celebration and help make this parade unforgettable! Click Here for more information!
Hadley 8th Grade Promotion
Last night, District 41 celebrated the promotion of the Hadley Junior High 8th grade class in a ceremony that took place at Wheaton College. This year over 380 8th graders received a certificate and are now moving on to high school. Student speakers Lucy Strom and Isabel Bierly presented reflections over the years as well as remarks about looking forward to the future.
Many students were given awards as recognition of their outstanding contributions to the school and to the community. Leadership awards were presented to Jack Kunkel and Alessia D’Argento for the positive impact they made throughout their time at Hadley. In addition, Austin Check and Helen Manak were presented with the Daughters of the American Revolution Award, a recognition of their service, leadership, and patriotism both inside and outside of the classroom. James Fanella, Delaney Meyers, and Ibrahim Abuowda were awarded the 8th Grade Team Leadership Awards for their accomplishments within their given teams.
Thank you to all staff, families, and community partners for supporting our students from preschool through 8th grade! Best wishes to all of our promoted 8th graders!
