Their artwork was selected as the winning design for our Buddy Bench Poster Contest! The posters will be displayed next to the Buddy Bench outside to help remind everyone of its purpose — a place to promote friendship, kindness, and inclusion.

ADS has launched their first fundraiser of the year. This year, orders and payments can all be done online with the link below. Proceeds go towards helping to elevate school life and student activities.

Delivery will be done the week of Parent - Teacher Conferences on November 20th.

Our Student Council is hard at work planning this year’s Remembrance Day ceremony, which will take place on November 11. This special event will honour the sacrifices of those who served in the military and commemorate the importance of peace. The ceremony will include student-led presentations and moments of reflection, giving our school community the opportunity to pay tribute and learn more about the significance of this day. We invite everyone to join us as we come together to remember and reflect.

Our annual Christmas food drive will be starting during the week of November 3rd. You will be able to send non-perishable items to school that will be used to garnish our Christmas baskets. To encourage donations, we are setting a few goals to reach along the way. Each goal met will be accompanied by a fun activity for all our students. If your family is in need of a Christmas basket, please send an email to Ms.Jeannik at bachandj@etsb.qc.ca

We’re happy to share that Wellness Morning will take place on Wednesday, November 26th! We’re super excited for this special day focused on health, movement, and mindfulness.

We have 3 upcoming PED DAYS in November:

NOVEMBER 7 - PIZZA PARTY PED DAY - we will have crafts, games & fun preparing each our own pizza for lunch! Remember to only bring snacks & a water bottle on this day! Cost for the day $21.55.reservations by October 31.

NOVEMBER 24 - PYJAMA PARTY PED DAY -- please come dressed in your favorite pj's! Pillows and stuffed animals are welcomed! We will be watching a movie on the big screen in the gym and also enjoy a juice & a bag of chips during this time! Please reserve before November 17 and cost will be $21.55.

NOVEMBER 25 - We will be heading out to RÉCRÉOFUN in Sherbrooke. There will be different play zones for your kids to enjoy! Due to extra expense for this day the cost will be $26.65. It is important that you reserve before NOVEMBER 10th for this activity and no one can be added after this date.

This month, the younger ones in cycle 1 and kindergarten are getting comfortable with recognizing/ naming emotions.

The grade 3-6 students are learning about Accountability. Please see the parent letter with tips and tricks on this topic.

When students log into Moozoom, they let us know how they are feeling, making sure that we have quick access to those who may need more support managing their feelings.

We have at meeting at ADS on November 5th at 4:30 pm. It's not too late to join!

1st Term Report Card : Your child's first term reports will be made available on the MOZAïK Portal on November 20th. As indicated previously, report cards are now issued electronically and are accessible through the parent portal. Reminder instructions in how to use the parent portal are available on the school website

Parent/Teacher Conferences:

This year they will be held on Thursday, November 20th from 2:45 to 6:45 p.m. Sign-ups will be done online. You will get an email in the coming days.

Healthy Practices : We must remind you that a sick student (fever, gastro, flu, etc.) should not come to school. The student should stay home until feeling able to attend regular classes. In case of an accident or sudden illness occurring during school hours, parents will be notified and should take charge of their child as soon as possible. Parents are always the main responsible persons for their child. In the best interest of our students, it is essential that emergency contact information be provided and be updated whenever there are modifications. If a taxi or ambulance is needed, the charge will have to be paid by the parents.

School Fees: Please note that school fees are due to be paid. In order to have your tax receipt issued, fees must be paid prior to December 31st. Your child’s invoice can be found on the Mozaïk parent portal. If you have any questions, please contact the office. If you are sending the payment with your child, please make sure it is in a sealed envelope with his/her name and reason (ex: daycare, school fees) clearly indicated.

I am happy to continue our partnership with the Wales home and l'Auberge le Louis d'Or de Danville with grade 6 students and a few other students from ADS this year. What a great way to brighten up an elderly holiday season.
