March Student of the Month

Each month, District 95 asks every building to select a student who represents our District Values of collaboration, continuous improvement, equity, high expectations, integrity, perseverance, and respect. For the month of March, Spencer Loomis chose Fifth Grader, Zachary R.

It is with great enthusiasm Spencer Loomis Specials teachers select Zachary R. for Student of the Month. Zachary consistently exemplifies the District 95 Portrait of a Graduate qualities of being an advocate for himself and others, is an effective communicator, demonstrates future readiness, is growth oriented and is a global citizen.

Zachary is a true team player who follows directions, works hard, and puts forth his best effort in everything he does. His perseverance is especially evident in music. In general music class, he demonstrated consistent effort while learning the ukulele, worked through challenging chords until he could confidently play. In band, Zachary began the year with a positive attitude and selected one of the most challenging instruments, the French horn. Through patience, practice, and determination, he has shown tremendous growth as a musician. Even when it gets tough, he continues to push himself to improve.

In the Library, Zachary is developing strong entrepreneurial skills. He collaborates with classmates to identify problems, design thoughtful solutions, and prepares to confidently present and defend his ideas to teachers and administrators. These experiences highlight his critical thinking, communication skills, and future-ready mindset.

Zachary’s leadership also shines in Eco Club, where he demonstrates knowledge of sustainability and a commitment to being a responsible global citizen. His peers enjoy working with him because he is cooperative, fair, responsible, and is always willing to help. and consistently serves as a positive role model.

Zachary’s dedication, perseverance, and character reflect our district’s Portrait of a Graduate. He is an effective communicator, an advocate for himself and others, a global citizen, and a student who is preparing himself for future success. He truly makes us want to be great teachers. Zachary is a most deserving recipient of Student of the Month.
