January 5, 2026
The monthly PTCO meeting will be tomorrow, January 6th from 5:30-6:30pm in the science lab. All Legacy parents/guardians are invited and encouraged to attend the monthly meetings. This is a great opportunity to learn about events and meet other Legacy parents. We hope you will join us.
Parents seeking volunteer hours and to support our many events are encouraged to attend our meetings and sign up for upcoming events. Even small acts of volunteerism can make a difference. We appreciate our generous parents.
We also have a Legacy PTCO Facebook page. You may also email us at ptco@legacyk8.org. Don't forget to log your volunteer hours!
REMINDER: It's time to start registering for the 2026-2027 school year. Everyone should have received an email reminder on Friday, December 19th. The deadline for registration is January 9th.
As we enter the second half of the school year, please make sure your students arrive to school on time. If they arrive late to school, we may be unable to order a hot lunch for that day as the order may have already been placed with the district. Due to this time constraint, you may be asked to bring back a cold lunch for your student for lunch. Please see the student handbook for more information on the tardy policy.
Student Council will partner with the Elizabeth High School Make-A-Wish program again this year. We will offer a Dress of Choice on Monday, January 26th for $2. All proceeds will go to Make-A-Wish. Also, the Student Council will be raffling two stuffed animals. Students may purchase raffle tickets the week of January 26th during morning carpool. Tickets are $1 each. The winners will be announced during morning announcements on Jan 30th. Every child deserves moments of joy, hope, and imagination- especially during life’s toughest challenges. You may make a donation of any size to this cause.
DASH Prize Dodgeball will be Friday, January 10th from 2-4pm in the gym. If your student raised funds at the $300 contribution level for our DASH, they have earned this prize. Please have them wear their tennis shoes.
The Legacy Academy Science Fair will be March 5th but we need your student's Intent to Participate Form by January 13th. One form is for middle school and one form is for grades K-5. Once students turn in their form, they will receive the information on how to display their project board.
