7th Grade
We have been working on adding, subtracting, and multiplying fractions. We also have been doing some addition of integers (positive and negative whole numbers). They have done really well with adding integers and are ready to move on to subtracting integers. We have also been working on some graphing and how to set up a scale on graphs. Our next plan is working with order of operations and dividing fractions.
8th Grade
We have been solving multistep equations and equations with variables on both sides. We started by using our Algebra tiles and equation mats, but they have now moved on and are able to solve them without manipulatives. We also used our mats to simplify and compare expressions. We will also be working on tables, graphs, rules, and equations and how they are all related in our next chapter.
