Weekly Updates
First I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year! We are looking forward to a great 2nd semester! We will be focused on academics AND safety.
Covid is spiking just as has been predicted by the experts. As we begin our 2nd semester we will have to re-enforce our Covid protocols to help keep our students and staff healthy.
Please review the information below regarding our continued Covid protocols.
Academically we will begin the push toward the end of year testing. This is of the utmost importance. Students must show growth and progress this year. 8th graders will have EOGs for Science, Math and ELA. 6th and 7th graders will take Math and ELA EOGs. On Jan. 10th we will begin mid-year iReady testing.
Discipline for the month of December was much improved. We will continue to enforce the handbook and require all students to follow the rules. Failure to comply will have immediate consequences. We have reviewed the handbook with all students, and they know the rules and expectations. The administration is very serious about this.
Below you will find detailed expectations for VCMS's standard of dress. It must be followed. Please do not send your child to school in violation of this standard of dress. If the student is in violation they must call home and get replacement clothing. Until the clothing arrives they will be placed in ISS where they can continue to view their classes via zoom and complete their assignments on Canvas.
We will have an AWESOME week this week!
Mrs. Ayscue
Dress Code
No holes in pants
No rips in pants
Solid color shirts
Crocs with heel strap
I would hate to have to implement the old dress code after the Christmas break. But, if we cannot follow this simple code, we will have to return to a stricter code.
Covid 19 Protocols
Also for at least the month of January we will not be switching classes. We will return to teachers rotating classes.
