NEWS & INFORMATION
We had a wonderful week at Marshall! Students worked hard in their classrooms, and we enjoyed seeing so many smiles and positive energy throughout the building. Our teachers continue to provide engaging lessons, and students are rising to the challenge with great effort and enthusiasm. It’s been a joy to watch their growth already this school year.
We held our first Family Groups of the year. You may wonder "What is Family Groups"?
We are all part of the Marshall Family. To help us grow connections with different people from our Marshall Family, students will be given a Family Group. Family Group leaders might be a teacher students have never had before! Family Group members will be students from all different classes and grade levels. Students meet with their Family Group once a month to participate in different activities. Students will get to know their Family Group and hopefully be excited to see them pass each other in the hallway or on the playground. Being part of a Family Group will help students make new friends and get to know new teachers. This month's family group's focus was on getting to know those in your family group. We will meet at least one time a month in our Family Group.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Jones, Principal
This week we celebrated our very first Principal for the Day! Ms. Adelyn was our top seller for our Fall Mum Fundraiser. Our student leader did a fantastic job helping with announcements, greeting students, and visiting classrooms. It was so special to see her step into this leadership role with confidence and excitement. We are thrilled to continue this tradition and look forward to welcoming our next two “Principals for the Day” next week.

Miami Savings Bank
We are excited to share that Miami Savings Bank is partnering with Marshall to give our students a wonderful opportunity to learn about saving and managing money. Through this program, students will be able to open and use a real bank account right here at school, helping them build lifelong financial skills. As an added bonus, students who participate in this banking opportunity will be entered for a chance to win a prize at the end of the year.
We are grateful for Miami Savings Bank’s support in teaching our students the value of saving and making smart financial choices.

NOTES FROM THE OFFICE
Student Fees:
Fees have been loaded to PaySchools if you wish to pay online. You can also pay in the office with cash or check.
Lunch Accounts:
As a reminder, you are able to add funds to your student's lunch account through the PaySchools system. If your student's account reaches -$50 it will be rolled into your school fees. Please be mindful and keep your student's account current. You can use PaySchools, send a check or cash to the school office to take care of your student's balance.
Free and Reduced:
If you would like to apply for free or reduced lunches, please reach out to the Marshall office or the Marshall social worker Chrissy Rolfes at rolfesc@talawanda.org. We can help walk you through the online application or help you fill out a paper form in the office. If you qualify for FREE lunch, your fees will also be waived. (EXCEPT for 5th grade Chromebook fee) If you qualify for REDUCED, fees will be reduced by 85% (EXCEPT for 5th grade Chromebook fee) and meals will be FREE.
Dismissal:
Thank you for your help in keeping dismissal safe and smooth for everyone. We ask that when your child is called to your car, you please help them climb in and then pull forward to the upper lot to buckle them into their car seat. Remaining stopped in the dismissal lane to buckle your child slows down the process for all families and, more importantly, it creates an unsafe situation when other cars attempt to go around. Your cooperation makes dismissal safer and quicker for all of our students.
Final Forms:
Remember, if you have any changes to your information (phone number, address, who can pick up your student, etc) throughout the school year, change it in Final Forms! The office is notified of these changes and will update our information. IF you have an address change, you must submit new proof of residency to the office before we will update your address.
