Our partners at Mentoring Alliance provide on-site after school care. Check out the website below for details. They will also have an information table at Meet the Teacher if you have any questions.
Do you have questions? We've got answers!
How can the class celebrate my child's birthday?
Can my kid bring a water bottle?
What kind of shoes should my kid wear?
What time is breakfast available?
What time can I drop my kid off?
You can find the answers to all these questions AND MORE in our Rice Ranger Family Handbook. Take some time to check it out and help our first days of school run smoothly by knowing exactly what to expect!
Check out our TIA Teachers!
These teachers were nominated and approved for the Teacher Incentive Allotment based on a variety of criteria including student growth and performance. We are so proud of them! Rice has nearly doubled the amount earned from last year to this year. Way to go teachers!!
Dismissal Changes
If you need to change how your student is going home for the day, please call the front office to let them know. This ensures that the message gets to the student even if a substitute is in the classroom. All dismissal changes must be communicated before 2:40pm when the office closes for dismissal.
Standard Response Protocol
Our staff have all been trained on the Standard Response Protocol. There are five different actions that can be taken for a variety of safety situations including Hold, Secure, Lockdown, Evacuate, and Shelter. We practice these actions with drills every year. If you familiarize yourself with the language, you'll have a better understanding when the school or district sends out communication regarding an event. Check out the information below.
