Dear Alta Mesa Families,

We have another amazing week planned for you. We will continue to focus this month on anti-bullying, drug prevention, and digital citizenship. All throughout this month our staff will be discussing and doing lessons on character and how to create a safe and positive culture for our campus.

As we get closer to the end of the month please make sure to check into our calendar of events. There are a lot of events and extra-curriculars starting over the next couple of weeks. Here are a few:

• 4/5 soccer permission slips in the office. They are due back Friday. We will be holding tryouts 10/17 & 18 after school.
• 4/5 basketball camp permission slips in the office. This is a great opportunity for our 4th and 5th grade students to practice before the season starts. First date will be 10/13 (this Friday)
• Picture retake day will be Oct 20th, parent volunteers are needed. Please email kelliott@eesd.net if you are interested.
• We are accepting candy donations through your child's classroom for the Fall Carnival. Classroom with the most donations will receive an ice-cream party.

The next Booster Club meeting will be Wednesday, October 11th at 6:00 PM in the Library. Please come join Booster Club, your help is needed! Fall Carnival is right around the corner and they could use extra parent support!

Please make sure students check in with their coaches by 2:45, races start promptly at 3:00.

• Please have students wear their Alta Mesa Cross Country shirts
• Have students bring water (it will be hot outside)
• Make sure students have proper running shoes on
  

Movie @ The Mesa is back! We are planning for Friday, October 20th at 6:30 PM. We will be premiering Hotel Transylvania 2!

If your student was absent on Fall Picture Day, Studio 530 Photography will be here on Friday, Oct 20th to retake pictures. If there was an issue with your pictures and you would like your student's picture retaken, please contact Studio 530 Photography @ 530-529-3333 and let them know. They will direct you on how to proceed on Picture Retake Day.

We will also be looking for volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering. Please email Kaylene @ kelliott@eesd.net.

We have the best Booster Club around! Alta Mesa Booster Club will be hosting the Fall Carnival on Saturday, October 28th. Parents, we need your help with candy donations! Please see the flyer below for more information!
