As previously shared with our community, Mrs. Gringhuis, our current principal, has accepted the position of Director of Learning Services with Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools effective August 2026. She will remain in her current role for the remainder of the school year and continues to be fully committed to the students, staff, and families of ÉOLR.

Red Deer Catholic School Division is pleased to share that Mr. Rob Melenchuk has been appointed Principal of École Our Lady of the Rosary School, beginning in August 2026.

Mr. Melenchuk brings 22 years of experience with RDCRS and a strong commitment to student success, inclusive learning, innovation, and Catholic education. His experience includes roles as teacher, technology coach, assistant principal, vice principal, and system leadership in inclusive learning and technology. Notably, he began his career at École Mother Teresa School in Sylvan Lake, reflecting a meaningful connection to our local community.

Mr. Melenchuk looks forward to joining the École Our Lady of the Rosary community and supporting both the English and French Immersion programs within a Christ-centred learning environment.

While we will welcome Mr. Melenchuk in person this fall, Mrs. Gringhuis looks forward to supporting him over the coming months as he prepares to join our community. She is truly excited for the leadership and gifts he will bring, and knows our school will be richly blessed by his presence.

Thinking of enrolling your child in early education?

Registration forms for Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten for the 2026-2027 school year can be started online beginning December 16th. You can officially submit your pre-kindergarten registration beginning at 8:00 am on January 6, 2026. Kindergarten registrations can be submitted immediately.

Pre K Scheduling: Half Days

Kindergarten Scheduling: Students will attend either Monday/Wednesday and scheduled Fridays, or Tuesday/Thursday and scheduled Fridays (English & French option available).

We are excited to celebrate First Communion at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish on May 3 at 11:00 a.m. Many of our students will be taking this important step in their sacramental journey, and we keep them in our prayers as they prepare to receive this special sacrament.
