Tumuaki / Principal Message
At Te Kura o Te Pāroa, our tamariki do best when whānau and kura work together. When tamariki see their whānau attending hui, reading pānui, asking questions, and meeting with kaiako, they know their learning is important.
Our Parent Teacher Interviews are coming up, and bookings are now open on Skool Loop. More information about how to book is included in this pānui. These interviews are a valuable chance to meet with your tamaiti’s kaiako, hear about their progress, ask questions, and talk about how we can support their next steps.
If you have not been able to attend any school events this year, please make time for this one. Your presence matters. It shows your tamaiti that you care about their learning and their success.
Learning does not happen at Kura alone. It is strengthened by the encouragement, routines, conversations, and support tamariki receive at home.
When whānau and kaiako share information and work together, our tamariki are better supported to thrive.
As Matariki draws near, let us continue to strengthen kotahitanga, manaakitanga, and our shared responsibility for our tamariki.
Ngā mihi nui,
Erin Te Pou

Matariki Kaumātua Celebration
Kia ora e te whānau,
As we celebrate Matariki, we would like to invite our kaumātua to join us at kura on Thursday, 2 July, from 9.00am-11.30am for a special morning with their mokopuna.
Come and spend time together in the classroom, take part in Matariki-themed activities, create memories, and celebrate this special time of reflection, connection, and new beginnings.
Mufti Theme: Matariki
To finish our celebration, each class will enjoy a shared kai together.
We would love to see our kaumātua join us for this special occasion.
Nau mai, haere mai!

Rebuild Update
Kia ora to all our whānau,
Our amazing construction team is working hard to complete the last parts of our build. Each day something new is being completed or worked on. so exciting Mā te huruhuru ka rere te manu.
"Adorn the bird with feathers so it may fly." Success in our build has required preparation and providing the right foundations and resources. We are nearly there!
Construction and Site Updates
· B Block renovations continue! Now the window and doors are in, the interior walls and ceilings are starting to take shape. Also, a big investment has been made in the back deck of B Block, to help get light in. I know this will be a super popular place to hang out!
· B Block tasks left are ... wall coverings, lino and carpet tiles, install sinks, install seating out front. These should all get started next week.
· PODs have been now moved to their forever home, out the front. Once a deck is built, we will be able to use these again.
· Carpark & court works have started but are not yet complete. Thank you to everyone for your continued patience as it impacts parking.
· Behind hall parking access is still out of bounds.
· Our Waharoa may be able to be reinstated before Friday 31st July. Please keep an eye on the usual social media notices for the dates. Once the site is clear and our contractors have vacated, we can reinstate our Waharoa.
· Fencing around the school will still remain while parts of the school are being remedied. The hall driveway fencing will need to be checked that it is closed at the end of each day.
Thank you all for the continued patience and understanding.
Ngā mihi nui,
Sarah - Build Communications
