High Schools Configuration Feedback Analysis
On March 9, Superintendent Jen Wimmer presented to the West Bend School Board a synthesis and analysis of the feedback received through the engagement process on the high schools configuration. Review the video and slides of the presentation on the website. The board will continue its review of feedback and could take action on this item as early as the March 23 meeting.
Grades 8-12 Summer School Enrollment Open
Enrollment opened for summer school for (current) grades 8-12 and any student who received a summer school recommendation letter. Enrollment is completed in Skyward.
The West Bend School District summer school program is open to all students who are residents of the West Bend School District attendance area and those currently attending via open enrollment. This includes students who attend a parochial or home school but live in the attendance area.
Enrollment will open on Monday, March 16 for grades 4K - 7. Go to the Course Guides on the website to see the classes available and much more.
All Around the Bend Business Showcase Returns
The West Bend High Schools fieldhouse and West cafeteria will host the 4th Annual All Around the Bend Business Showcase on Saturday, April 11, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. This free, public event features more than 100 local businesses sharing information about their products, services, and career and volunteer opportunities.
It will also feature raffles and giveaways, live performances by local school groups, a kids play zone, and the return of the Taste of the Showcase, where attendees can sample food from local restaurants with 50 percent of proceeds benefiting the COLUMNS Scholarship Foundation (which provides scholarships to East and West graduates).
This event is a great opportunity for students, families, and our community to explore local career paths, connect with community resources, and learn more about the businesses and people that help make West Bend thrive. For more information, visit the Chamber website or contact the West Bend Area Chamber of Commerce at (262) 338-2666.
