The book fair will open at 7:00am on the morning of iWalk - October 2. After walking to school, come into the library to peruse the book fair items. The book fair will be open Monday, September 28 through Thursday, October 1 from 7:30am-2:00pm and Friday, October 2 from 7:00am until 8:30am. The iWalk begins in the Grogan's Mill Shopping Center at 7:00am! We look forward to welcoming our families at both events!

Healthy meals help students focus, learn, and grow — and every child deserves access to nutritious food every school day. Conroe ISD encourages all families to apply for the School Meal Benefit Program, a confidential way to ensure students are fueled for success.

Big News for Families

Thanks to a state grant authorized by the 89th Legislative Session, students who qualify for reduced-price meals will now receive free breakfast and lunch at school during the 2026–27 school year. This means families who might have paid a small amount for school meals in the past will now receive those meals at no cost.

Why Apply?

Completing a meal application not only ensures qualifying students receive free school meals, but also may connect your family to valuable reduced-cost programs and services — such as student benefits, financial assistance, and more. Even if you’re unsure whether your family qualifies, it’s worth applying. Many families are surprised to learn they’re eligible, especially if household income or circumstances have changed.

Quick, Confidential & Convenient

The application is fast, private and available online at My School Apps. Paper copies are also available at any campus front office. The deadline is Friday, October 30, 2026.

A strong school-home connection is important because it directly affects a child's mental health, academic success, and long-term well-being. At Hailey, we want to partner with parents by offering informational sessions that strengthen the school-home connection. Please provide our campus feedback on what topics are important to your family!

The Hailey Elementary PTA is dedicated to building a strong, supportive, and inclusive school community where every student can thrive. We partner with families, teachers, and staff to enrich educational experiences, support student success, and create meaningful opportunities that strengthen school spirit and connection for all Hailey Comets.

Families have access to additional resources to support students using the new curriculum. Parent information sheets are available through the CISD Instructional Plans website. Students and parents can also access tutoring and instructional videos through the Practice and Problem Solving section of the student workbook and textbook by scanning the available QR codes.

Additionally, every Conroe ISD student has access to digital instructional resources through the district's Single Sign-On (SSO).

We are excited to welcome John Fritts to the Hailey Elementary family as our new school counselor!

Mr. Fritts joins us from Cleveland ISD, where he gained valuable experience in both campus and district administration. After serving in administrative roles, John made the decision to return to counseling, which is role he describes as the most rewarding chapter of his career. He is excited to return to working directly with students and families and to become part of a school community where he can build meaningful relationships.

We are also excited that Mrs. Dumlao will continue to be an important part of the Hailey family as our Student Support Specialist. In this role, she will continue supporting our students and staff and helping ensure our children have the social, emotional, and academic support they need to thrive. We are grateful that Mrs. Dumlao’s experience, relationships, and caring heart will continue to be a part of our campus.

Please join us in giving Mr. Fritts a warm Hailey Comet welcome! We are thrilled to have him on our team and look forward to the wonderful things Mr. Fritts and Mrs. Dumlao will continue to do for our students and families.
