Here are our Science Vocabulary words for our unit.

We will be starting Unit 3( Extending Operations to Fractions) right before Thanksgiving break. Enjoy an early preview of Unit 3.

We are starting our study of the beautiful Northeast region of the United States! Guess which state I want to visit.......Maine. I want some fresh lobster and seafood!! The first PDF is a short informational about the region your child may read! The SECOND PDF is the Northeast states and capital Study Guide. Please help your child know the states and capital. It will be fun!

As part of BCS 3/4th grade instructional practices we implement Universal Design for Learning framework. All students have access to the following:

Audiobooks, access to digital textbooks, preferential seating, assistive technology (access to a word processor, voice typing, spell check), provided multiple ways to demonstrate knowledge, extended time on assignments, read aloud offered on assessments that are not assessing reading, organizational tools for writing assignments (graphic organizers), visuals/models/examples provided of final product (for projects, writing assignments, math equations, etc.), and visual schedules and reminders of changes in schedule.

This is my 29th year of teaching 💪.I spent the first seven years teaching in the Detroit Public Schools.

I'm a graduate of Eastern Michigan University. I'm married with two children, Joshua( senior in college) and Chelsea( sophomore) in college. I'm the youngest of four children!
