Welcome to 10th Grade - Class of 2027

You've made it through your first year of high school.

All classes at VSH are asynchronous. Asynchronous learning allows the student to have flexibility with their learning. Weekly pacing guides will be expected to be followed by the student. Students are encouraged to advance through the curriculum and/or complete the course ahead of schedule.

The student will have access to the curriculum, readings, assignments, tests/quizzes, and other learning materials at any time throughout the day/evening, weekend, and holidays.

VSH online curriculum delivery gives students flexibility. Students will be enrolled into 3-4 courses each quarter. Students will have a specified amount of time to complete their courses (9 weeks).

Alongside the flexibility of learning, teachers will provide feedback on assignments, tests, and quizzes as well as hold office hours to meet with students one-on-one or small group needs. Teachers are available for instruction each day in their office hours or if further intervention time is needed, one-on-one meetings can be scheduled with the student’s teachers.

It is the expectation that the student will follow the teachers pacing guide or move ahead in their courses. All curricula must be successfully completed by the end of quarter to earn the credit in their courses.

Students take classes every 9 weeks and can earn between 12-16 credits per year.

Summer School

If you have failed a class(es) required for graduation, it is recommended you retake the course during summer school.

Summer School is offered in-person or online through VSH. More information about Summer School will be posted at the beginning of April.

If you would prefer to retake the class next year, please add the class as one of your elective choices. You can find "core retakes" under the elective pull down menu.
