Late Start Mondays- Reminders
CRHS will have a Late Start Monday morning this Monday (9/28). Below are some important details about Late Start Monday mornings at CRHS:
Buses and transportation run normally on Late Start mornings. However, students who drive or get a ride do not have to be at school until their classes begin at 8:00am.
Please allow extra time if arriving after 7:40am as traffic is often heavy due to CRMS arrival around the same time.
Students who arrive early may complete homework, study, or socialize before school in supervised locations until class starts at 8:00am.
After 7:30am, students may only enter through Door 1.
CRHS will have Late Start Mondays mornings on 10/5, 10/19, 10/26, 11/9, and 11/16.
CRHS Freshmen Participate in Respect Retreat
This week, all CRHS freshmen students participated in a Youth Frontiers Respect Retreat thanks to a long-standing partnership with the Coon Rapids Rotary Club. Students took part in community-building games with classmates, heard from speakers about the importance of being a leader in and outside of school, and were able to reflect deeply with their peers in small groups. Even better, students from the CRHS Link Crew leadership group did an amazing job leading small group activities and discussions with our freshmen.
Coon Rapids High School is proud of this tradition and is so appreciative of the support from the Rotary Club to be able to build connections and community in the Fall with our newest Cardinals!
Behavior & Technology Expectations Overview
CRHS believes in providing a safe and welcoming learning environment for our students. To ensure your child is ready to succeed, please review the presentation below for important CRHS behavior and technology expectations for the upcoming school year.
School Pictures are Ready!
Your child’s school pictures are now available! To review them, please follow these steps:
- To view them online, please log in to your account at mylifetouch.com. You'll need your student’s ID number to access their photos.
- If you don’t have an account yet, you can create one using your email address.
CRHS Parking Permits On Sale Now!
Student parking permits for the CRHS parking lot are available for purchase now! Parking permits are sold on a first come, first served basis while available for $35.00 per trimester or $105.00 for the 2026-27 school year. As always, please remember that all outstanding fines and fees must be paid before a permit can be issued.
Parking permits are purchasable in-person at the CRHS Finance Office located in the Main Office or online via School Pay/Parent Vue. Please have your vehicle/s license plate number(s) handy when purchasing your permit as this is required information. All online purchases require students to pick up their permits from the Finance Office once school starts. Students that do not purchase a valid parking permit but drive and park at school on an occasional basis can purchase a daily parking pass for $2.00 from the Finance Office to prevent a violation.
A list of parking rules and regulations is available from the Finance Office. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Matthews at the CRHS Main Office Office, by email at lana.matthews@ahschools.us or by phone 763-506-7302
Student Personal Learning Plans (PLP) Accessible in Scoir
Students now can access their digital Personal Learning Plan in Scoir (pronounced score) and are encouraged to utilize time during late-starts Mondays throughout the calendar year to complete this important work. Once a student is logged into Coon Rapids High School, they can find the Scoir icon on the Rapid Identity screen and will have several tasks assigned to help them discover and research paths that match their talents and passions. PLPs will provide a wealth of resources that can assist students in discovering career paths, gaining insights into different industries, and understanding the skills required for specific jobs. Ultimately, the PLP is designed to help students plan for their futures so they are prepared to achieve their goals.
Please check in with your student about their PLP and the progress they are making. This is an excellent opportunity for you to learn alongside your student and have important conversations about future planning so you can best support them in this process.
