Over the summer, the school took on a lighting project to have new LED lights installed

in all of its buildings. The school used rebate monies from the recent HVAC project and

some of its own budget to make this project happen. The timing of this project was

necessary for the school also to take advantage of rebates with the LED lighting that will

sunset this year. The new lights, in addition to looking good, will provide the district with

cost savings through their energy efficiency and also maintenance, since the LED lights

will last for years beyond the old bulbs. A great deal of credit goes to our school board

for being proactive and supportive in taking advantage of these types of opportunities to

provide the best facility and environment for our students.

Today, our Kindergarten classes took a number walk through the halls to work on identifying their numbers. Students found numbers on signs and art work throughout the halls.

School Picture day is Wednesday, September 3rd.

Come be part of the fun! Our Akron High School Volleyball Camp is a great way for younger athletes to sharpen their skills, build confidence, and fall in love with the game — all while supporting the Volleyball Program.

Don’t miss out! Sign up today and help grow the next generation of players!

FORMS ARE DUE TUESDAY, AUGUST 26th

Another tournament has come and gone and once again we are so very thankful for our community.

The money that we make doing these fundraisers help with team gear, help paying for camps, summer leagues, team outings, equipment and so on.

We would like to thank:

*All of the businesses that supported and did a sponsorship. We will be getting a banner with all the names to proudly hang at all of our home games this year.

*Byron Guy, James Lucero and Jamie Stavely for donating and providing the dinner meal.

*ALL of the golfers that came and played! We had some new faces and some that have been there for the past 3 years. We are extremely grateful for all of you and we hope you all enjoyed yourselves!

We couldn’t do it without all of you. This community is amazing in supporting the youth and for that we are thankful.

Thank you,

The Akron Volleyball Team

The Akron Lady Rams volleyball and basketball teams have been working hard to raise money for their new uniforms.

Proud of the dedication, teamwork, and heart these girls bring both on and off the court.

Way to show up and put in the work!

A big shout out to our awesome Akron athletes who showed up to help with our Sponsor Drive last Friday.

There is still time to get in on the action!

Forms due: September 15 (or sooner!)
