We survived the frigid temps! Thank you to everyone who waved from your warm cars during car pool this week. It kept a smile on our covered faces. 😃

Our 8th grade GT ELAR team competed in Mock Trial today, and we can’t wait to hear how they did. I know the amount of hard work that went into their preparation. Our tennis teams will compete in their first matches next week, soccer teams were announced yesterday, and our fine arts is starting to have pre-UIL evaluations. Don’t forget to check out our Book Fair next week. Never a slow day at Dowell!

We are excited to invite you to our Scholastic Book Fair. Hosted by our Learning Commons staff, this event is an opportunity for students of all ages to build their home libraries and further their love of reading. As always, all purchases benefit our school.

● In addition to cash and credit cards, our Book Fair offers a CASH-FREE PAYMENT OPTION called eWallet. It's a convenient digital account that your child can use for shopping at our Fair. Grandparents, friends, and others can contribute, too! Don’t forget to donate to your ELAR teacher’s e-wallet also.

If you would like to opt your child out of the book fair, please fill out the McKinney ISD Book Fair Opt Out Form prior to Monday, February 28th.
