Do you need assistance or have questions about financial aid or the FAFSA? Join us for our annual FAFSA/Financial Aid Information Night at MHS on Wednesday, October 28th, from 6:00 to 7:00. The Director of Financial Aid from Carroll University will be presenting and answering any questions you may have. This meeting will be held during parent-teacher conferences in room 42. We look forward to seeing you there!
Being on Time Matters
One simple way to start the day strong is by arriving on time to school and class. We know mornings can be busy, but being on time helps students settle in, stay organized, and get the most out of learning.
Tardy Policy Highlights
- The building opens at 6:50 a.m., and the first hour begins at 7:30 a.m. Arrivals after 7:30 count as an unexcused tardy.
- Teachers handle the first two tardies with reminders and a short consequence.
- Starting with the 3rd tardy, the office steps in with an after-school detention and parent contact.
- Continued tardies (4 or more) will result in additional office-managed consequences.
Our goal is to help students build habits that lead to success, in school and beyond. Being on time shows respect and helps start the day off right.
If getting to school on time is a challenge, please reach out. We’re here to support you. Together, we can make this a year of growth and success!
ACT Corner
Freshman Fall PreACT Test Results
On Monday, all freshmen students will spend time in Advisory reviewing the results from the PreACT they completed on September 10. MHS administers this test to provide students with ACT experience and goal setting data before the required test in April. Freshman parents are encouraged to review student results by going to Backpack under the More button on Infinite Campus. You can reference this presentation for more information on how students will set goals for the future.

A Message about Substance Use & Abuse
At MHS, we are committed to helping all students succeed academically and social-emotionally so they can achieve whatever post-secondary dreams they put their minds to. One barrier to this is substance use.
According to the 2023 Wisconsin Youth Risk Behavior Survey, more than half of all high school students reported drinking alcohol that year. Cumulative MHS vape detector data from the past few years also confirms that our students have access to nicotine and THC.
It’s no secret that these substances are addictive, but it’s also important to understand how even short term use of them can lead to long term health impairments, not to mention problems with school and social life. Some of these health impairments include difficulty maintaining attention, problems with memory, and lung damage.
To learn more about the dangers of underage substance use, MHS will offer a selection of pamphlets and fact sheets during parent-teacher conferences on October 20th and 28th located in the PAC. Please join us in helping our students get educated about substance use so they can make responsible decisions that positively impact their current and future success!

👉🏻Yearbook Orders
Yearbooks for the 2026-2027 school year are on sale now!!
They can be purchased by clicking the button below.
You have until February to guarantee your child receives a yearbook. After that, sales will remain open until we sell out and will be on a first come, first serve basis. Yearbook distribution will be at the end of May before school is let out.
Please contact Jayme Pruszka with any ordering questions at pruszja@masd.k12.wi.us. Thank you.
26-27 Yearbook Distribution Plans:
We are excited to share an update regarding our yearbook distribution schedule. Beginning this school year, MHS will transition to a spring yearbook distribution, with books being handed out during the last week of school.
This change allows us to create a new tradition as students wrap up the school year together. Distributing yearbooks before summer gives students the opportunity to sign one another's books, share memories, and celebrate the end of the school year as a community.
The new distribution schedule also allows us to make some improvements to the content of the yearbook. Because spring sports and prom will be featured in the following year's edition, we are able to dedicate more pages in this year's book to student life, clubs, organizations, and other activities.
We understand that our graduating seniors may wonder how end-of-year events will be recognized. Seniors who purchase a yearbook will receive a complimentary senior supplement after graduations that highlights commencement and other memorable events from the end of the school year. This insert can be easily placed inside their yearbook, allowing seniors to have those special memories preserved as well.
We believe this new approach will create a yearbook that better represents our entire student body while also providing a memorable end-of-year experience. Thank you for your continued support of our yearbook program. We look forward to creating a book full of memories this year!
👉🏻 Senior Photo Reminders
Senior pictures must be submitted via this link by SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 1, 2026. Many photographers will submit your photo for you so make sure that they know the deadline AND that your appointment is early enough for pictures to be available before the deadline. We also cannot use a photo with your photographer's logo on it. Please request that they honor this.
Please follow these guidelines when submitting your senior photo:
Image file format
Image must be submitted in digital format
Image Resolution: 300 DPI or higher at 2 ½” X 3 ½”
File Size = approx. 1000 Kb (Slightly smaller sizes are okay; Larger sizes work)
Image file format = .jpg
Color = CMYK (Cyan-Magenta-Yellow-Black) format is preferred
Image Standards
Your face should be the focal point of the image. Full-body photos are accepted; however, waist-up portraits generally reproduce best in the yearbook. All photos may be cropped as needed to fit the yearbook's design and image dimensions, which may result in portions of the photo being removed.
No other individuals, pets or props included in the photograph.
Appropriate dress as defined by Mukwonago School District’s Code of Conduct and the MHS School’s Dress Code.
Student-submitted senior portraits must meet the image requirements and receive final approval from the yearbook adviser and/or administration.
Any questions, please email Jayme Pruszka at pruszja@masd.k12.wi.us. Thank you.
