Season’s Greetings from Waikiki School!

Warmest aloha to our wonderful Waikiki School families!

As we approach the end of 2025, we want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude. On behalf of Vice Principal Mahoney and the entire staff of the Mindful School, we wish you and your loved ones a safe, restful, and memory-producing winter break.

Thank you for the incredible privilege of entrusting us with your children every day. It is a responsibility we cherish, and your partnership makes our school community truly special. While we have already achieved so much together, there is still so much more to look forward to in the remainder of this school year!

Enjoy the magic of the season and the company of family and friends. We look forward to seeing everyone’s bright faces when students return to school on Tuesday, January 6, 2026.

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!

Christmas with the animals at the Zoo, December 20, 9:00 am

Come share in the excitement on Saturday, December 20, for the annual Christmas with the Animals event at the Honolulu Zoo! Waikīkī School’s 2nd graders, along with Ms. Carpenter’s Bird Group, created over 50 papier-mâché enrichment items for the animals, think festive piñatas filled with meat and treats!

The students worked incredibly hard on these beautiful creations. They used more than 100 boxes and 150 pounds of flour, and while the animals will likely destroy them within minutes, that’s the fun of it! Don’t miss the joy of watching the animals explore their special holiday surprises.

We will meet at 8:50 AM in front of the Honolulu Zoo. Please pay admission and enter the zoo, and I will find out that morning where some of the enrichment items will be placed. After that, families are welcome to enjoy the zoo at their own pace.

Please note: This is a family event, not a drop-off activity–students must be accompanied and supervised by an adult.

Admission: Adults $21, Children (3–12) $13, Kamaʻāina: Adults $10, Children (3–12) $6, Free for HZA members
