Noble Family Newsletter
Back-to-School Edition
At Noble Elementary, we believe that every student has the right to learn and grow in a safe and respectful environment. We also believe that every student has the power to make positive choices, learn from mistakes, and become stronger leaders in our school community. Noble Elementary empowers all students for college and career readiness through AVID’s schoolwide focus on WICOR, student success skills, and a growth mindset.
It has been wonderful seeing our staff trickling back into the building and filling our hallways with energy and purpose! There is a real sense of excitement in the air, and you can feel the start of something truly special brewing for our students and Noble community this year. We cannot wait to welcome our Tigers back and partner with you all to make this an incredible school year!
Solution-Minded
Noble Families,
Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! We are thrilled to welcome our students back soon and kick off another incredible year of learning and growth. As we navigate a changing landscape in public education, we remain deeply anchored to our shared vision for student success. Last year, our focus on "Restoring Noble Pride" brought extraordinary results: we closed achievement gaps, met our school attendance goals, earned a preliminary 3-Star Achievement rating and a preliminary 5-Star Gap Closing rating on our Ohio State Report Card, and saw strong student growth across all grade levels!
While we have so much to celebrate, our commitment to excellence continues. We are hitting the ground running to prepare our youngest learners for their Beginning of Year (BOY) literacy assessments, which directly support our Early Literacy goals. To guide our entire school community this year, our theme is "Solution-Minded." For our Noble team and families, being solution-minded means approaching every milestone with optimism, proactive partnership, and a focus on positive actions that put student learning first. Together, we will make this our most impactful year yet!

Dr. Watson's Role at Noble
In the summer edition of The Weekly Words, we introduced Dr. Michelle Watson, who joins us this fall as a Building Administrator at Noble Elementary. We are thrilled to share a bit more about how Dr. Watson will support our students, staff, and families this year!
Dr. Watson brings incredible experience and dedication to our administrative team, with a primary focus on strengthening our overall school climate, culture, and student support systems. Here is how she will partner with our school community:
Positive Behavior Support & Interventions: She will work closely with teachers and staff to guide positive behavior strategies, ensuring our classrooms remain safe, focused, and supportive learning environments.
Family & School Partnership: She will partner directly with families and teachers to navigate ongoing questions or concerns, working together to create proactive, student-centered solutions.
Student Support Systems: As a lifelong learner, Dr. Watson will collaborate with our PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports), Attendance, and MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) teams to ensure every Tiger gets the academic and behavioral support they need to thrive.
Dr. Watson is a key member of our leadership team and is deeply committed to the success and well-being of our students. Please join us in giving her a warm Noble welcome when you see her around campus!

Attention: Student Code of Conduct
As we count down to the first day of school, now is a great time to sit down with your child and review the CH-UH Student Code of Conduct. Clear expectations and consistent routines help ensure a safe, focused, and positive learning environment for all of our Tigers!
At Noble, we utilize a progressive discipline system where choices have clear consequences. We believe in "sweating the small stuff" so that minor distractions don't turn into bigger disruptions. Please take a moment to review these key expectations with your student:
Punctuality: Arriving at school and class on time sets the tone for a successful day.
Cell Phones & Personal Electronics: All phones, smartwatches, and headphones will continue to be collected safely upon arrival each morning and returned at dismissal.
Distraction-Free Attire: Articles of clothing or accessories that create a distraction—such as large purses, bags in class, and ski masks—are strictly prohibited.
Safe Conduct: Horseplay, roughhousing, and unsafe behaviors are not permitted in hallways, classrooms, or on school grounds.
