We wish all our eighth-grade students much success in their future at high school and beyond. Our students are prepared to meet the new challenges that are in store for them! The estimated cost will for students will be $65(general admission) or $40 (season pass holders) which includes lunch and transportation. More information will be provided as we get closer to the trip date.

8th Grade Dance

A special eighth grade social/dance will be held on Friday, May 31st, 2024 from 6-8:30pm. This social is only for eligible eighth grade students attending Dallas Ranch Middle. 8th Grade Awards Ceremony:

Some students will be recognized at a special 8th Grade Awards Ceremony for outstanding achievement during the school year, on May 30, 2024. If your student is receiving an award an invitation will be sent home prior to the event.

8th grade Field Day/Picnic/Activity:

Wednesday, May 29. Field day is a fun filled afternoon of activities, food, and music just for their grade level. Each year students look forward to this event and it has been a tradition for many years.

8th Grade Promotion Celebration:

Wednesday, June 5th at 9:00 at Dallas Ranch Middle School: (4 tickets per family)

It continues to be the tradition at DRMS to celebrate our 8th graders’ completion of middle school with a special ceremony. The purpose of our 8th Grade Celebration is to:

* Recognize the Eighth Grade as a culminating and meaningful year in the lives of our students.

* To help facilitate the transition of our students from middle school to high school.

* To foster the philosophy that our middle school is a community that recognizes the values and accomplishments of our students.

Please note that in accordance with Antioch Unified School District guidelines, this activity will not be conducted as a graduation ceremony. There will be no caps/gowns.

Important note: We look forward to our celebration as a very special event. We encourage our students to dress nicely on this day. Their “Sunday best” is encouraged; however formal (prom-type) attire is not appropriate. We also ask that families not bring balloons to the celebration as it interferes with the view of others.

Please review the extra-curricular policy in the Aviator Guide carefully and explain the importance of maintaining good grades to provide these opportunities. Please do not hesitate to call 779-7485 if you have any questions. We look forward to getting together with you for what we know will be very special and meaningful events.

We want students to make positive contributions to the community.

At Dallas Ranch Middle School:

Ø We believe that ALL members of the school community: students, parents, teachers, administrators, and support staff must model good character by displaying trustworthiness, respectfulness, responsibility, fairness, caring, and positive citizenship.

Ø We are a place that values diversity, where students are active participants and feel a sense of belonging and pride. Aviators learn to be responsible for the success of themselves and others.

Ø Students understand the importance of learning and have a desire to achieve to the best of their ability. They receive support in their academic endeavors and learn to be critical thinkers.

Ø Aviators are well-rounded individuals with opportunities to develop their bodies and minds through sports, clubs, electives, and other extra-curricular activities.
