Hello, wonderful MREC parents!

We’re gearing up for an incredible start this week, and we’re thrilled to see how much joy and curiosity your little ones bring to the classroom every day! Please make sure to ask your students about yoga, movement, art, library, character and all the other fun things they are doing at school each day! We are excited to introduce something new this year during our enrichment time.

This week, we are continuing the CLI Pre-K Assessment, a useful tool that helps us understand your child’s strengths and areas for growth. The assessment is designed to be engaging and developmentally appropriate, giving us insights to better support your child’s learning journey. We’ll be sharing the results with you soon, so stay tuned!

To ensure a smooth and safe arrival and dismissal process for everyone:

  • Morning Walk Up: Please remember to park at the stadium. This helps keep our parking lot clear and safe for buses and staff members. Your cooperation in this is greatly appreciated!
  • Afternoon Walk Up: Please remember to park at the stadium. Please remember to stand at the tree holding your car tag. Please do not approach the doorway. This helps keep our students attending to our staff member's instructions and not on parents breaching the door way.

Thank you so much for your ongoing support and partnership in your child’s education. We’re excited for another amazing week of learning, laughter, and growth!

Here's to a magical week!

Drive Safe in School Zones

Let's prioritize the safety of our children by remembering to slow down and obey traffic laws and signs, especially in school zones. Be advised that the Melissa ISD Police Department will be helping to keep our campuses safe by enforcing traffic laws. Additionally, please remind the high school drivers in your household to prioritize safety by following traffic laws and exercising caution on their way to and from school.

Photos of Students

Parents, if you join us for class parties, field trips, or lunchtime visits, please refrain from posting photos of any students other than your own on personal social media accounts unless you have permission from their families.
