PTA Special Update

U.S. News and World Report announced today that Ross is the #1 public elementary school in Washington, DC. The ranking is based on reading proficiency, reading performance, math proficiency and math performance. Janney and Key elementary schools were ranked #2 and #3, respectively. You can check out the rankings here.

Did you know that the PTA contributes $100,000 to our school every year to fund curricular supplies, teacher training and so much more? If you haven't given to Fall for Ross yet, please consider giving today (more below), so we can continue contributing to the school's resources, which helps supercharge student and staff performance.

At the start of the year, our PTA set a fundraising goal to support the programs, events and resources that make Ross such a wonderful place for our children to learn and grow.

What truly makes the biggest difference isn’t just the total dollars raised—it’s how many families take part. Our goal is simple: We want every family to participate. We also recognize that this season has brought financial uncertainty for many families, especially with the government shutdown and other economic pressures. Please know that we understand—every family’s situation is different, and every form and level of support matters.

Whether your contribution is $5, $10, or even one dollar, your participation matters to show your involvement in your child’s education. Last year we reached 70% participation; this year we’re only at 46% family participation. When every family joins in, it sends a powerful message to our students and teachers.

The funds we raise support classroom projects, teacher appreciation, student enrichment, and community events — things that benefit every child at Ross.

⏰ Our campaign ends on November 7th— and time is short! Please give here today: https://givebutter.com/FallForRoss.
