Patriot Peek at the Week News

Spring is in full swing with temperatures going from very warm to pretty chilly. Please make sure students come to school dressed in clothes for the ever-changing weather this season. We try to ensure students get plenty of time outdoors.

Students in 5th grade will be taking the Illinois Science Assessment next week. Students in grades 3-8 will be taking the Illinois Assessment of Readiness the week of April 26th. Please make sure students get plenty of rest and eat a healthy breakfast each day. They should also bring a filled water bottle, charged Chromebook, and headphones/earbuds each day. Since there is no option for remote testing, our remote students will need to come to school to take the tests or be counted as absent on testing days. Please reach out to me if you have any questions about these assessments. All we ask is that students try their very best.

Kind regards,

Mrs. Ronen

Thank you to all those that registered for summer learning. We are beginning our plans to make this summer count for our students! It is going to be great. We will provide those that registered with more information soon!

While the deadline was last week to register for the Color Run and be guaranteed a shirt, you can still register at any time to run with us on May 1st!

Students in grades 3-8 will be taking the IAR (Illinois Assessment of Readiness) during the week of April 26th. There is no virtual option for remote students. Remote students will either need to come in during testing times this week or be counted absent for testing days. Your child's teacher will provide you with information about specific times for testing this week.

Our 5th grade students will also be taking the Illinois Science Assessment starting next week. We do not want any of our students to stress about these tests. Just do your best!

We are excited to announce that we will honor our 8th graders on May 13th at 7:00pm. If there is inclement weather, our rain date will be May 27th. Students will be allowed to invite up to 6 guests. All guests should plan to bring their own lawn chair as the ceremony will take place on the BHHS Football Field. Families will be social distanced and masks will be required.

April 17th = Aiden Willbrand

April 21st = Alaina Goeckner

April 24th = Kendyll Steward

April 25th = Aubrey Madigan

PFK will be providing an extra special treat for students on this day.

Students that registered for summer learning will attend Monday-Thursday from 8:30-11:30. Students may be dropped off as early at 7:30 to accommodate working parents.
