Late Arrival and Early Dismissal Reminders
Late Arrivals
When students arrive after the start of the school day, please have photo ID ready and accompany your student(s) into the main office to sign them in. This helps us keep accurate attendance records and helps ensure students make it safely to their classroom.
Early Dismissal
If you are picking your student(s) up early, you must show your photo id at the intercom before entering the main office. Students will be called down from their classroom after you have signed them out.
*Please note that early pick-up will cease at 3:30pm to allow a seamless transition to regular dismissal time.
End of Day Changes?
Absences
If your student will be absent from school please contact the front office by phone, parent square, or email with the reason for the absence. If your call goes to voicemail, please leave a message! Your call is very important to us. Messages are checked regularly and attendance is updated accordingly. We may be away from the phone walking late students to class, helping a parent in the office, attending a meeting, etc..
Did you call, parent square, or drop your student off and you still received a message that they were absent? We apologize, and we understand that can be frustrating. Being a campus that requires all late students to be walked to their pod, we sometimes are behind in entering attendance updates. We are working hard to make the daily deadline. If you have concerns, please give us a call. If you arrive after 10:55 on Monday or 9:50 Tuesday - Friday, you will always receive the auto message.
Hispanic Heritage Month starts this week
It's not too late to order pictures!
Pictures can be ordered anytime online. When checking out, the student id number is not required. Please enter your teacher's name for homeroom.
Was your student absent on picture day? Don't worry - we will schedule a retake day soon!
School Supply Donations
In order to provide some relief from back-to-school shopping, elementary schools are asking families to contribute a $25 donation per child to cover the cost of school supplies.
Want to Volunteer at BLE?
Volunteering helps create a supportive and welcoming environment in our schools. Whether you're a member of the community wanting to give back, or a parent eager to assist in the classroom, the Sumner-Bonney Lake School District welcomes your support!
We have recently updated our volunteer clearance process to make it more convenient, efficient and robust. The safety of our students is our number one priority, and we appreciate you taking the time to submit to a background check.
Our clearance plan includes:
- SSN Trace: Verifies your Social Security Number and address history to confirm your identity.
- National Criminal Database Search: Conducts a search of national and state criminal records, including the sex offender registry.
- Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) Check: Reviews driving records to identify any qualifying candidates for positions requiring driving.
- Criminal Record History: A broader check of federal, state, and county criminal records beyond the initial national database search.
Each of our schools are able to clear volunteers. You will need to have a social security number, and to present a valid email address. Our staff at the building will then send you the link to process your application. The process takes just a few minutes, and unless there is clarification needed, you will be cleared to volunteer within about 15 minutes.
If you do not have a social security number, we may still be able to clear you to volunteer, but we have to do so in the Human Resources Department at Central Office. Also, if there are any questions around your submission, or if we just need clarification, you will be referred to our Human Resources Department.
Thanks for being a part of what makes our school communities great!
