Thankful Hearts, Helping Hands: Mac Student Council Leads Food Drive!
MacArthur’s student council held its annual food drive to benefit the Cedar Lake Food Pantry. Thank you to all our Mac families who participated by bringing in food to donate. We had another very successful year and appreciate everyone’s generosity! Congrats to Mrs. Ehen’s 1st grade class for collecting the most food and winning an ice cream party!
Cheering for Courage: A Special Student’s Big Victory!
Our school community came together this week to celebrate a truly special milestone—one of our 2nd grade students completing his final chemotherapy treatment. On Thursday, he proudly rang the bell, marking the end of his journey and a moment of immense courage and triumph. The following morning, students and staff lined the halls in a sea of blue, cheering him on during his victory walk. With signs, bells, smiles, and heartfelt support, our school wrapped this brave student and his family in encouragement and joy. It was a beautiful reminder of the strength of community and the power of hope. 💙
