JHS Summer 2026 Update #5
Floating Walk Your Schedule Night
Jordan's campus will be open on Friday, August 21, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. to allow families the opportunity to walk their child's schedule. The purpose of this event is to allow Jordan students to become familiar with the campus. This event is not a "Meet the Teacher Night." Floating Meet the Teacher Night is Thursday, September 10, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Pay Tech Fee or Submit Waiver Prior to First Day of School
To support device sustainability and repair, a $15 annual technology fee is required for students in Grades 3-8 and a $30 annual technology fee is required for students in Grades 9-12.
Durham Public Schools is committed to ensuring all students have access to the technology they need for learning. If your family is experiencing financial hardship, you may request a waiver of the annual Student Technology Fee by completing the 2026-2027 Student Technology Fee Hardship Request.
PTSA Updates
Help Stock Our Classrooms!
Please help Jordan teachers and staff stock classrooms and other spaces. Find a list of requested supplies here. If you don’t see your student’s teacher yet, please keep checking - we will continue to add lists! And don’t forget the nurse’s office, student support services, and other spaces!
Get Involved
Throughout the year the PTSA provides support to Jordan High School in the form of teacher appreciation events, school supply sponsorships, campus beautification, classroom and student club grants, and in many other ways. To get involved in the Jordan HS PTSA, please complete the Jordan HS PTSA Interest Form!
Welcome, New Families
Thank you to everyone who joined us at Summer Bridge for a parent/caregiver meet and greet. We look forward to meeting more of you soon.

- Select the parent/guardian setting up the account.
- Choose a verification method (text or email—must match what is on file at the school).

If you need additional support please contact Ms. Rhonda Cooley, data manager, at Rhonda_Cooley@dpsnc.net. Please review the Parent and Student Portal Overview Video or the Parent and Student Portal Overview Handouts (English Spanish) for more information about Infinite Campus.
Student Schedules
Students and parents can now view student schedules through Infinite Campus. Instructions for accessing Infinite Campus and creating a Parent Portal account are linked here.
If a student would like to request a schedule change, they may do so by submitting the Schedule Change Request Form. A list of courses offered during the 2026–2027 school year is also available to help students complete the schedule change request form.
The Schedule Change Request Form closes on Sunday, August 23. The form should be submitted only once. Students may request multiple schedule changes on the same form; submitting the form multiple times may result in requests not being reviewed.
The Schedule Change Request Form must be submitted by Sunday, August 23, for a schedule change to be considered. Phone calls, emails, and drop-in requests will not be processed.
Counselors will email students regarding whether their schedule change request was able to be processed. Emails will be sent to the address provided by the student when completing the form.
