Principal's Message
Dear Mustang Families,
It’s hard to believe we are wrapping up February and preparing to welcome a brand-new month at Maple. This time of year always brings renewed energy and exciting opportunities for our students to connect, celebrate, and grow together.
March is full of wonderful events on campus. We’re looking forward to our school-wide dance, an upcoming awards assembly to recognize student achievements, and continued preparations for our biggest spring event—our Bubble Run fundraiser in April. The Bubble Run is a highlight of the year, bringing our community together for fun, fitness, and school spirit. More details will be coming soon as we gear up for this exciting event.
I’m also thrilled to share that Maple will soon be home to a new State Preschool program. Applications are open now, and we are excited to expand opportunities for our youngest learners and their families. As we continue shaping the future of Maple Elementary, this is an important step in strengthening our school community from the earliest years.
With growth comes opportunity, and we warmly invite families who are interested in being more involved to consider joining our School Site Council or our Parent Faculty Association (PFA). Your voice and partnership help guide decisions, plan events, and support student success. If you would like more information about joining either group, please reach out—we would love to have you involved.
Thank you for your continued support and for being such an important part of the Maple community. The months ahead are filled with possibility, and we’re excited to experience them together.
With Mustang Pride,
Meghann O’Weger
Principal, Maple Elementary

Please consider signing up for Maple Chorus for the spring! We were unable to run a chorus for the fall due to low enrollment and would love to bring this wonderful tradition back to Maple. Spring chorus culminates with the All-District Chorus Festival at the Civic Arts Plaza and is a wonderful experience for all future performers! We hope to have Maple Mustangs there.

Donation Matching
Does Your Company Match Donations?
Double the impact of your gift to Maple PFA!
Many companies offer matching gift programs, where they will match your donation dollar-for-dollar, turning your $50 into $100 for Maple students
How it works:
1. Donate to Maple PFA (membership, or general donation)
2. Submit a match request through your employer’s HR portal
3. Your company sends an additional donation — at no cost to you!
Local companies that offer matching gifts include:
• Amgen
• Bank of America
• Disney
• Kaiser Permanente
• Qualcomm
• Target
• Wells Fargo
(and many more — check with your HR department!)
Your matched donation helps fund PE, Art, Music, Field Trips, Talent Show, and more!
