GTA6 Explorer World Market

All year, GTA6 students learned about various cultures, the diversity of traditions, and the commonalities and differences of peoples from around the world. In the final weeks of school, based on everything they learned, GTA6 students CREATED their own global simulation complete with a map of the geography of the simulation and their own countries within--each with their own economics, cultural traditions, resources, and governmental forms. This is the ultimate application of what they learned all year. An act of CREATION.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, May 27th, GTA6 students will report to the commons when released to class in the morning. Then, they will be distributed throughout the commons as directed by Mr. Connolly to set up their country's materials. Each student has a role, already designated and known, for the simulation.

When instructed by Mr. Connolly, the various countries will send delegates throughout the commons to participate in a simulation of global relations--trading, creating agreements, and participating in managing and learning about global politics. There will be various rotations as scheduled and managed by Mr. Connolly and the GTA6 Teaching Team. The simulation will last all morning through lunch.

As instructed by Mr. Connolly or Ms. Maly, students need to bring any and all materials and resources related to staging their country and participating in the global simulation.

STUDENTS SHOULD WEAR THEIR GTA6 T-SHIRTS.

WHAT ABOUT LAPTOP COMPUTERS?

Students should bring their computers only if they need the computer for staging their country.

If they aren't using it for the Explorer World Market, they are advised to leave it at home.

REMINDER: No Back Packs Throughout the Remainder of the Year.

THERE WILL BE A PIZZA LUNCH PROVIDED BY THE GTA!

Students are welcome to also bring a sack lunch or snacks and water bottles.
