Today marked a very special day in GISD history. Mr. David Dietz has been working for Gainesville ISD for 50 years! Today his coworkers celebrated him and all of the great years he has given to GISD.

Mr. David Dietz grew up in Gainesville, Tx. Before joining the GISD family, he spent time in the Military. He started his teaching career at Gainesville Junior high where he taught and coached from 1974-2004. From there he retired from teaching, and started driving our students on the bus as a bus driver. Ever since 2004, Mr. Dietz has been ensuring the safety of our students to and from school and other school related activities every day. He was recognized as secondary teacher of the year in the 90's and he will be receiving his 50th year with GISD plaque at tomorrow's service award ceremony.

We are so proud to have Mr. Dietz on our team and we look forward to having him as a part of our Leopard family for many years to come.
