Happy Wednesday Cherrydale Families!
April is a special month where we take time to honor and recognize the strength, resilience, and sacrifices of military children. This month, we invite everyone to join us in celebrating these young heroes!
One way our cheetah community can show their support is by wearing purple every Tuesday throughout the month. Purple symbolizes the unity of all branches of the military so let's "Purple Up!" together and show our military children that we stand with them.
In addition to wearing purple on Tuesdays, get ready for our district-wide Spirit Week the week of April 21st! Each day will feature a fun theme to celebrate our military families and the incredible contributions they make. You can find more details on these days in this newsletter! Finally, our school will be planning various activities to further recognize and support our military children and families during this month and show our appreciation for the sacrifices they make everyday.
We look forward to celebrating the Month of the Military Child with you all!

New Version of FlashAlert app
One of the platforms SHSD uses to announce school delays or closures is the FlashAlert alert system.
FlashAlert has released a new version of their mobile app. Please first delete the existing FlashAlert app from your mobile device and then install the new version.

You MUST be a CLEARED volunteer to help with any events or to participate in anything on the Cherrydale Campus.
To get clearance so you can help with upcoming PTA events (or ANY Cherrydale events), click Volunteer at Cherrydale. The process can take up to 2 weeks. Once you are cleared you can let the PTA know of your interest and availability.

Please consider joining the Cherrydale PTA. The best part about the PTA is that you can be as involved as much or as little as you'd like or can be! We have so many volunteer opportunities throughout the year, it's easy to get involved!
