Administrative Update
Dear Birch Hill Community,
I am writing to share that I have made the decision to step down as Principal of Birch Hill Elementary School at the end of this school year. This was not a decision I made easily. It has truly been an honor to serve the Birch Hill community, and I am deeply grateful for the time I have spent working alongside such dedicated staff, supportive families, and wonderful students.
I want to reassure families that the process of identifying the next principal for the 2026–2027 school year will begin soon. I am confident that Birch Hill will continue to be in very capable hands, and that the strong sense of community and commitment to students will remain at the center of the school’s work. It has been a privilege to partner with Birch Hill families, and I will always look back on this time with appreciation and gratitude.
In the months ahead, our focus will remain on supporting students and staff as we continue our work together and ensure a strong and successful remainder of the school year. We will also continue to keep families informed as any updates related to this transition become available. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this end-of-year administrative change, please feel free to reach out to the administrative team.
We value our partnership with you and are always here to support our students and families. Thank you for your continued trust and support.
Respectfully,
Alisha Hansen-Proulx
District Art Show and Student Art...
Mrs. Grace did an incredible job preparing our students’ artwork for the Districtwide Art Show last week, carefully matting and centering each piece for display. She works tirelessly to showcase the creativity and talent of our students, and we are truly grateful for her dedication and attention to detail.
We are so proud of the incredible masterpieces our students created, and Mrs. Grace’s efforts helped present them beautifully to the broader community. Wonderful work all around—thank you for inspiring and celebrating the creativity of our students! Keep up the fantastic work.
Librarian Appreciation Day, 4/4
Please join me as we celebrate Librarian Appreciation Day, which was 4/4, and recognize the wonderful work of Erin Murry, Birch Hill’s dedicated librarian at Birch Hill Elementary School. Mrs. Murray brings energy, creativity, and a deep love of reading to our school community each and every day. Through thoughtfully curated books, engaging lessons, and a welcoming library space, she helps students discover the joy of reading and the excitement of exploring new ideas. Her work goes far beyond managing bookshelves—she inspires curiosity, nurtures a love of learning, and supports both students and staff in meaningful ways.
We are incredibly grateful for Erin’s dedication, enthusiasm, and commitment to helping our students grow as readers and learners. Thank you, Erin, for everything you do to make the Birch Hill library such a special place! 📚✨
Assistant Principal Appreciation Week
This week we celebrate the incredible work of Sarah Caouette, Assistant Principal at Birch Hill Elementary School.

Whether she is helping a student work through a challenging moment, encouraging a teacher, or celebrating the many successes happening throughout the school, Sarah brings positivity, care, and enthusiasm to everything she does. Her presence helps create a school environment where people feel supported, valued, and inspired to do their best.
Sarah’s commitment to the Birch Hill community is evident in the countless ways she lifts others up and keeps our school moving forward.
